Fundraising Gala at the Mairie de Paris
A fundraising evening dedicated to Elisecare (previously called Shennong & Avicenne) occurred on June 20th, 2014 under the support of the Mairie de Paris and André Manoukian.
This event was hosted in the Hotel de Ville of Paris and collected funds for:
– The opening of a “Pain and Acupuncture” wing in the Hôpital de Lariboisière in Paris in the pain relief center to begin a study on the subject.
– The establishment of a new mobile dispensary in Iraq.
Xavier Emmanuelli, doctor, founder of the Social Samu in Paris, cofounder of Doctors Without Borders, president of the Hugh Committee for affordable housing, and member of the Honor Committee of EliseCare was in attendance.
The guests were able to observe the unveiling of photographs exploring “Faces of Humanity”. This photographic selection was composed of limited editions prints taken by three photographs supporting the organization, Christophe Cham, James Caratini, and Yves Guénot, and developed by the Picto photography lab.
A film entitled “A meeting of science for the good of humanity” was also viewed during the dinner.
